Our Neighbours

Colonial type houses aren't really my cup of tea, still I like how a small flight of stairs leads up to the main door for this. Garage are usually accessible through an alley at the back.
Last Sunday I walked home from the beach and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to take photos of our neighbours' "houses". In our area, the closer you get to the lake the bigger they are. Although none of them were my favorites, they were the ones that I passed by on the way home, still these houses were worth a see.

Left:I like this house because of the fastidiously trimmed hedges on the front lawn. Right: I found the structure interesting for this house.
What I like about in this area of Evanston is that the residents are more adventurous when it comes to the color the houses' exterior. Top shows a green accent, bottom photo shows a bright orange roof. In other places I've been to, yes they might be big but most had boring structures and colors were limited to either grey, beige and red bricks. Maybe some other time I can take photos of the purple houses here.

House on right has one of the biggest area size on this street. Houses on left would be considered medium-scale sized houses. Yes, really.
Compared to our neighbours, Tom and I are paupers.
More of our neighbours' houses at the cutting room.

There is an area here where you can see houses that look much more older than I have taken and they are not as big. I like those better too but it requires a few more blocks of walking.

I have seen houses similar to that here in Florida but boy these houses are unaffordable! I am not into antique houses so they don’t really make an impact on me in either way. I like to look at them for fun sometimes but never dream to own one... besides we can’t afford to buy one even in our wildest dreams :-P
