Movies Made In Chicago
I was waiting for my fiancee visa when I first saw "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" on video. It was then it dawned to me that I was actually going to a city I have only seen in movies before. Boy, did that give me a jolt especially when the opening scene of that movie was in the middle of winter.
Did you know that Chicago was once the movie capital of the world? The city of Chicago is trying to acquire back that status by cutting on taxes to entice film production here. There's certainly a lot Jennifer-spotting these days since she's in town for "Breaking Up" which also stars and produced by Vince Vaughn. Recent movies like "Batman Returns", "I, Robot" and "Shall We Dance" was filmed in Chicago too.
Here's more:

The famous "My Best Friend's Wedding" romantic scene, Julia and Dermot dancing to "The Way You Look Tonight" was in Chicago River. Right photo of the said river was taken by me.
A League of Their Own (Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Madonna), About Last Night (Rob Lowe, Demi Moore), Ali (Will Smith), Bad Boys (Will Smith), Blink (Madeleine Stowe), Bounce (Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Affleck), Chicago: The Musical (Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, Renee Zellweger), Dennis the Menace (Walter Matthau), Home Alone 1, 2 and 3 (Macauley Caulkin), John Q (Denzel Washington), Kissing a Fool (David Schwimmer), Meet the Parents (Ben Stiller),

Again from "My Friend's Wedding". I had to include this photo since this was set in Chicago O'Hare Airport. One of the busiest airports in the world. A place very memorable to me since this was my point of entry.
Mercury Rising (Bruce Willis), Message in a Bottle (Kevin Costner), Michael (John Travolta), My Best Friend's Wedding (Julia Roberts), Never Been Kissed (Drew Barrymore), Ocean's 11 (George Clooney, Brad Pitt), Pay Back (Mel Gibson), Prelude to a Kiss (Meg Ryan, Alec Baldwin), Primal Fear (Richard Gere), Return to Me (Minnie Driver, David Duchovny), Richie Rich (Macaulay Caulkin), Risky Business (Tom Cruise),

Both of these movie posters have the beautiful Chicago skyline in it.
Save the Last Dance (Julia Stiles), Sixteen Candles (Molly Ringwald), Sleepless in Seattle (Toms Hanks, Meg Ryan), Solaris (George Clooney), Somewhere in Time (Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour), Space Jam (Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny), Spiderman II (Tobey Mcguire, Kirsten Dunst), Stir of Echoes (Kevin Bacon)The Color of Money (Paul Newman, Tom Cruise), The Fugitive (Harrison Ford),

Hunk of a guy Mel Gibson walking in downtown Chicago in the movie "What Women Want". Wish I was there, haha.
The Negotiator (Kevin Spacey, Samuel L. Jackson), The Road to Perdition (Tom Hanks), The Untouchables (Kevin Costner),The Watcher (Keanu Reeves), Three to Tango (Neve Campbell, Matthew Perry), US Marshals (Tommy Lee Jones), Wayne's World (Mike Myers), What Women Want (Mel Gibson, Helen Hunt), When Harry Met Sally (Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal), While You Were Sleeping (Sandra Bullock, Bill Pullman), With Honors (Brendan Fraser).
